05 / Learn, practice, repeat
Turn information into a practiced response.
Use this suggested self-guided session with your household, workplace, or neighborhood. It is a practice outline, not a certification course.

LESSON 2 / LOCATE
Read your actual map

Open the evacuation viewer →
LESSON 3 / PRACTICE
Walk or roll the route
Practice safely in normal conditions. Record travel time and barriers. Include anyone who needs help. Improve the plan together and schedule another practice.
Ask about local preparedness opportunities →
Practice discussion: You are in Charleston when strong shaking ends. Your phone has no service and your usual route is blocked. Which map covers your location? What is your alternate route? Who needs assistance? Where will your household reconnect?
